    What contributes to weight gain?

Obesity is one of the fastest-spreading diseases in all regions of the world. Statistics indicate that approximately 500 million people, worldwide, were diagnosed with some type of obesity. Although we frequently associate it with the consumption of certain foods, there are many other factors that could cause this disease. Here, we consider 10 modern lifestyle habits that lead to obesity and how you can correct them.

    1. Eating alone

Experts have shown that regular meals with family or friends help you avoid those extra pounds. When close people come together in a familiar environment, the welcoming home environment promotes healthier eating habits. If children prefer to eat alone, they use 25% more harmful food than those who eat regularly with their parents at the same table.

    2. Eat without taking off the screen

The combination of food intake with watching television or being behind a computer monitor forces the person to consume larger portions, as well as coffee in large quantities. A person is distracted by something interesting and simply does not notice how much and what he ate and drank. Therefore, it is better not to combine these two activities. You must find the time and opportunity to enjoy food, slowly and fully aware of what and how much you eat.

    3. Night life

If a person stays late at the computer or even performs tasks at night, then this regimen contributes to a change in metabolism and favors excess weight. The fact is that our body must rest at night and eat during the day. If you are nocturnal, the physiological cycle begins to be interrupted, and energy consumption decreases during the day. However, if you are forced to work out at night, then reduce the number of servings or the daily rate of calories.

    4. Lack of sleep

Lack of sleep is another reason for weight gain. The lower the sleep, the higher the weight, since sleep plays an important role in energy metabolism. If a person does not get enough sleep, then his body, trying to support wakefulness, begins to demand more food.

    5. Unfavorable environment

If you live in an environmentally unfavorable area, this may be another reason for weight gain. The influence of pollutants is explained by the fact that they begin to accumulate in adipose tissue. These, in general, enter our body through fish, meat and other fatty foods.

    6. Your hobbies

What matters is how you spend your free time. If you watch television every two to three hours a day, the risk of obesity increases by 25%. Television also has a negative influence on sleep, as artificial light lowers the level of melatonin. The reduction of this hormone, whose function is to protect the body from metabolic disorders, leads not only to gain a few extra kilos, but also to develop diseases such as diabetes.

    7. Choose products with a high and low-fat content

If you have to choose, then go for the first option, as they are more nutritious than fat-free. If we eat more nutritious foods, the risk of weight problems is reduced. Additionally, nutritionists say that products that are advertised as lower-fat foods are actually much more caloric.

    8. Eat fast food frequently

Fast food is, of course, convenient, but the usefulness of these foods is very small. Therefore, we must limit harmful snacks, replacing them with useful ones. So if you like fast food, you should avoid eating these foods more than once a week.

    9. Consumption of Soda or Soft Drinks

In carbonated fresh water contains a large amount of sugar, preservatives and other harmful substances. The more you drink this sweet water, the more satisfaction you feel.

    10. Lack of physical activity and laziness

Even if our body is ready, if it is not properly exercised, it gradually loses its shape, intelligence and mobility. Therefore, you need to exercise in any form, you must like some and will help to maintain the shape and tone of your body. You can run, swim, dance, take long walks, cycling, yoga or go to the gym where you can find more options.

Diabetes is a disease in which your blood sugar levels are too high. Over time, having too much glucose in your blood can cause serious problems. Even if you don't have diabetes, sometimes you may have problems with blood sugar that is too low or too high. Keeping a regular schedule of eating, activity, and taking any medicines you need can help StrictionD
